Deyang Lisen Cement Establishes Largest Cement Base In West China

(June 10)--Deyang Lisen Cement Co., Ltd., a company funded by enterprises based in Zhejiang Province, signed an agreement with the Shifang City Government in Sichuan Province on the joint investment of RMB1.2bn in the establishment of two new-type dry-processed cement production lines, each with annual capacity of 2mt. Along with this investment, the company will also channel another RMB400M in constructing in Shifang City the largest cement and technology research base in West China in the next five years. Taking into account the rising demand for cement for the post-quake reconstruction work, work on the plant will start in June and efforts will be made to put it into operations by the beginning of 2010.
