98% of Sampled Agricultural Pesticide Meets Standards

(July 1)--The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine recently carried out a sample investigation on the quality of 100 types of agricultural pesticide (excluding exported pesticide) that were produced by 87 enterprises in nine provinces and determined that 98% of the products meet the standards. The quality problems were mainly substandard effective ingredients that can directly influence the growth of agricultural plants, and substandard water content that can lead to unstable quality and lower effectiveness.
